Kyoko Imazu

Kyoko Imazu is Japanese artist, papercut and etchings printmaker, and sculptor, living and working in Australia .
She often focuses on detailed etchings that captures the whimsical life of tiny neighbours  who live and frolic in nature with cats, rabbits, butterflies, and others. These moments in time are beautifully captured - every turn of a petal, blade of grass, and butterfly wing is it's own world.  Kyoko Imazu was born in Japan and has lived in Australia since 2002. She has exhibited her work throughout the Asia-Pacific region including Bus Projects, Port Jackson Press, McClelland Gallery & Sculpture Park, Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art, and the Tokyo National Art Centre.
Her work is held in collections at RMIT, Sydney College of Arts, State Library of Queensland and the National Gallery of Australia, and numerous private collections in Australia, Finland, Netherlands, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States, Hong Kong and Japan.
