Born in Paris, educated in the UK at the Camberwell College of Art and now residing in Peru, Alex Cornet’s work is heavily influenced by travel and the world around him. Living as a foreigner, he has a different sense of observation to many, and is attentive and fascinated by the vernacular traces of life in a city, its unregulated and random activity and the antiheroes of the underground. He works to expose the freedom, simpleness and beauty he finds it in. Alexandre has exhibited in group shows in London, Lima and Los Angeles and held his first solo exhibition in Lima, Peru, in January 2017 with a stainless steel totem made of 66 masks entirely fabricated by him. Alexander is exhibiting in Hong Kong for the first time.
