Transposition by Tadayoshi Nakabayashi

"Observing the life cycles of nature as a reflection of one's own existence."
In his breathtaking etching series, Transposition — Ground, Tadayoshi Nakabayashi explores the profound connection between the rhythms of the natural world and his own life—a restless, ongoing visual exploration he has cultivated since the 1970s.
This delicately crafted exhibition catalogue allows you to bring 23 of these masterful works into your own space. Accompanying the intricate etchings is the poetry of Mitsuharu Kaneko, the literary muse behind the series, offering a deeper, more intimate understanding of Nakabayashi’s quiet philosophy and tactile process.
