I am Back - Wong Mei Yin
Created during the isolation of the 2021 pandemic in Sapporo, I'M BACK archives the intimate sketches and mindset of a student abroad. Revisiting these works three years later, the artist compiles a collection of short comics—including unreleased scenes—that capture the solitude and fresh perspective of arriving in a new land.
The zine is printed in risograph using a distinct yellow-green ink, a deliberate choice chosen to mirror the essence of a Sapporo spring: the vibrant, tender shoots that finally emerge after a long, harsh winter.
