The Train 《
Description
A surreal journey where train carriages decouple and reconnect, passengers are lost and found, leaving only the protagonist waiting endlessly between nowhere and somewhere. Chihoi's dreamlike visual narrative draws inspiration from the award-winning short story "Wooden Horse" by Taiwanese writer and poet Hung Hung, creating an extraordinary dialogue between text and image.
The Train combines Hung Hung's magical realist novella "Wooden Horse" (1998 China Times Literary Award winner) with Chihoi's comic adaptation "The Train" (2007). The two creators' works follow different circuits that intersect and spark extraordinary illumination. This unique publication presents both works in opposite reading directions within a single volume.
